The Regional Headquarters of Coast Guard, North West is located at Gandhi Nagar. Presently the Region is commanded by Deputy Inspector General BS Yadav, PTM. The Coast Guard has a force level of two OPV, one FPV, one IPV, two Hovercrafts, nine IB, two Dornier aircraft and two ALH helicopters in this region.

Ops Sadbhavna Mission
Honourable Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Narendra Modi visited Porbandar on 20 Nov 11 for attending “Sadbhavna Mission” at Chowpaty Ground. To enhance seaward patrolling along Porbandar Chowpaty in co-ordination with state and other security agencies, an operation was launched by the Coast Guard to prevent any infiltration / attempt to create unrest by anti-national elements. C-143, IC-122, Work Boat-302, CG Dornier & ALH participated in the operation.
The exercise was conducted by RHQ(N-W) on 04-05 Nov 11. Various security agencies and stake holders operating in AOR of this station actively participated in the exercise.
Joint Secretary, NSCS (India) visited on 25 Nov 11 at ICGS Okha. The Joint Secretary was briefed about operational activities pertaining to coastal issue.
COMMUNITY INTERACTION PROGRAMME
ICGS Jakhau conducted a community interaction programme at Suthri on 23 Nov 11.

Inter Regional Badminton Championship - 2011 was conducted at DHQ-1 from 01-04 Nov 11.
