The Headquarters, Coast Guard Region( East) is located at Chennai. The entire coastline from Kanyakumari to Visakhapatnam comes under the jurisdiction of the Commander, Coast Guard Region (East). There are 02 Coast Guard District Headquarters, 03 Coast Guard Stations, one Air Station and one Air Enclave on the eastern seaboard of India. | |

| Training for IRS probationers | |
|
Indian Coast Guard Region (East) conducted training for 84 IRS Group ‘A’ probationers which included 16 lady officers at Umang Auditorium, Royapuram, Chennai. The training also involved one day onboard ship at sea and visit to CG Air station. |

Community Interaction | |
|
A community interaction was conducted at Shandkhud village, Paradip on 26 Apr 12. The aim of community interaction was to bring awareness among fisherman about safety aspects coastal security/ intelligence gathering and role of Indian Coast Guard. Fishermen were also educated on survival techniques, use of life jackets, life buoys and distress calling at sea. | |
