DGCG Visit to Region

The 25^th Indian Coast Guard Commanders’ Conference was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Defence Minister Shri Pranab Mukherjee, on 23 Oct at the Coast Guard Headquarters (CGHQ), New Delhi. The Chief of Naval Staff, Defence Secretary and other senior dignitaries from the Ministry of Defence were also present on the occasion.

Vice Admiral RF Contractor, AVSM, NM, Director General, Indian Coast Guard presented the state and preparedness of the Indian Coast Guard in meeting the mandated tasks. The Hon’ble Defence Minister addressed the Coast Guard Commanders’ at the conference and interacted with the Commanders wherein he emphasized the need for the ICG to further enhance and consolidate its overall capabilities in meeting the growing challenges in our maritime zones.
